The Pro-Animal PAC of Colorado is a state political committee of Colorado Humane Voters League (CHVL). CHVL formed the PAC (political action committee) in order to have a means of giving financial support to animal-friendly candidates. Although as a 501(c)(4) non-profit corporation CHVL itself can contribute a limited amount to candidates, a PAC is less limited. In addition, CHVL's board of directors wanted a method of keeping contributions to and from the PAC separate from CHVL funds. CHVL makes no direct financial contributions to political campaigns.
The Pro-Animal PAC does not currently contribute to federal campaigns.
